My Philosophy on College Sports -

On Any Day in College Sports anything can happen.
You can pit a Monster/Powerhouse Program against the "little boys" and most of the time the Powerhouse will walk away with a win. Don't over look those games. Be Watchful, Ever so Watchful because SOMETIMES the "little boys" put one on the Powerhouse.

College Sports is where All the Real Action takes place!

I am by No means a professional analyst and will not pretend to be. As I am not being paid for this I will give you all what I see as a fan.

Up Coming Games to Watch

I know these are well in advance of Next Week but Games at the beginning of the season to watch are:

Thursday Sept. 2nd 2010

Marshall at Ohio State  - Game time 7:30PM ET
If you can get this game watch it.  Marshall looks to be Outmatched big here but since they are playing a Top Ranked team I think they will be showing up for this one.

My Guess:
Ohio State 32 Marshall 27

USC at Hawaii  - Game time 11:00PM ET  on ESPN
To my knowledge the only time you will get to see USC on TV this year.  NCAA didn't feel like punishing Hawaii for USC's issues.  See how the kids respond to the punishment and players leaving to finish out elsewhere.  Lane Kiffin has his work cut out for him, and this is just the beginning.

Friday Sept. 3rd 2010

Arizona at Toledo  - Game time 8:00PM ET on ESPN
This should be a good game if Arizona can slow down Toledo's Offense.  Toledo had some "Race to the Finish" games last year and put up some numbers.  Arizona should be able to out last them but it will go into the Fourth Quarter before they lock up.

My Guess:

Saturday Sept. 4th 2010

Purdue at Notre Dame  - Game time 3:30PM ET
Not sure where this one will go but expect the Boilermakers to have a good game.  We will all see where Notre Dame stands with this game.  Unknowns on both sides.

My Guess:
Notre Dame by a Field goal at the end of the Game under Field Goal Jesus.
Notre Dame 24 Purdue 21

Oregon St. -vs- TCU  Game time 7:45PM ET on ESPN
TCU is coming off of a Fantastic year and looks to continue on the same Path this year.  Fast Offense mixed with Quick Defense.  Oregon State is Good BUT TCU is Better.

My Guess:
TCU 43 Oregon St. 27


Sunday Sept. 5th 2010

SMU at Texas Tech  - Game time 3:30PM ET on ESPN
Will Jim Jones have the Mustangs ready to run through the Red Raiders?  Close but No Cigar!  Tommy Tuberville will exert a little more ball control with the Red Raiders than we have seen in the past.  Don't get me wrong, with the talent he has there in Lubbock, there will still be plenty of Gun Slinging going on, just watch and see how much more Pure Running game comes out.

Monday Sept. 6th 2010 

Navy -vs- Maryland  - Game time 4:00PM ET on ESPN
If you haven't watched Navy play get to a TV and Watch this game.  Navy can RUN the Ball!  Pass a little as well, But Running is their game.  They and Georgia Tech run that "inverted Wishbone" and they run it like a well oiled machine.  Even if Maryland is "Prepared" for it, Their not ready for it!

Navy 36 Maryland 16

Big Game
Boise State -vs- Virginia Tech  - Game time 8:00PM ET on ESPN
Big Test right out of the gates for both of these teams as they square off as 2 Top 10 Teams.  Boise State finally gets to Test its metal against 2 Big programs before conference play this year.  They may get lucky and go 1-1 against them.  This one isn't it.  Boise State is Exposed!
